We will meet in an informal location and atmosphere with additional hospitality offered and you are welcome be accompanied at your discretion, preferably if you are a vulnerable person.
We will engage informally at your pace and only progress our discussion when you are ready and able to do so. Our first meeting normally lasts around an hour but a little more or less is no problem at all.
We will introduce conversation around 8 eight areas of your life in a seamless way, predominantly in an active listening way to get a full picture of how you are, what your barriers and obstacles are and gaining strong indicators of personal need. The staff member will listen to you about what help you think you might need and what your you would like your future to be. No pressures or stress will be placed on the interaction.
At a personal level, we will seek your feedback about the nature of the interaction and any proposals or suggestions we make to you.
At a professional level we will have made a tentative assessment about the intensities of your barriers to progression and therefore the type, amount and intensity of helping support to achieve progression. We will also have assessed your state of readiness to enrol on a supported journey of recovery and achievement.
